Since we've moved to Charlotte and had kids, it's become a family tradition to stop for a night in Savannah whenever we take road trips to our home state of Florida.

It's a city we've grown to love, with all its history and cobblestone roads and many fountains and squares and shaded resting areas.

Each time we visit, we make sure to take a stroll through the Historic and Riverfront districts.

During our last time in Savannah, we ate at a restaurant right on the river where Spencer could watch the boats and barges go by.

We ordered the spaghetti and meatballs for him.

He made a huge mess of it.

He loved it!
