Tricks of the Trade: eat

Guacamole is a favorite snack of mine and a "go-to" dish when hosting or attending casual lunch or dinner gatherings. What I don't like about guacamole is that nasty shade of brown it can quickly turn into if it isn't eaten almost immediately. I recently learned a trick that now keeps my guac that lovely avocado green color even longer! Believe it or not, simply reserving the avocado pits and placing them in your guacamole until you're ready to serve or eat it is all you have to do. How easy is that? From whom did I learn this terrific tip (you may be asking)? Why, none other than GP herself! :) Be sure to read my last post for a chance at winning her new cookbook!

  1. Is that your pic? That looks amazing!!

you can also preserve it in the fridge by placing the saran wrap down against the top of the guac inside the bowl! Belen taught me that!
