Today was Family Fun Day Sunday, and we had a blast! We ventured out to The National Whitewater Center for our first time. For those who don't know, it's a manmade whitewater facility and it's where the U.S. olympic team trains. It far exceeded my expectations! It's so much more than just a whitewater center. We started off with a delicious lunch at their in-house restaurant, which we ate on an outdoor patio overlooking the center grounds. The menu was so impressive...we'd easily go back there just to have lunch! Then, we took a hike on one of several trails through the woods surrounding the whitewater river. Along with whitewater rafting, kayaking, and hiking, there were rock climbing walls, ziplines and mountain bike trails. And, there were lots of people with babies, kids and dogs. We can't wait to go back!
